Social media is a valuable tool to help spread the word about your organization and increase giving. That’s why the Givelify mobile giving app incorporates social sharing directly into the giving experience.
Here are a few tips to encourage your members and supporters to share on social media.
Your members use social media
Your members are likely on social networking sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. You might be surprised by the size of their collective following.
When you encourage them to post about your place of worship, the message will instantly reach a much wider audience, many of whom may be hearing about your organization for the first time.
You could gain new members and supporters by activating your current congregants on social media.
Social sharing through Givelify
Encourage your members to use Givelify’s built-in social sharing feature to help spread the word. Here’s how it works:
- After making a gift, your members will arrive at the receipt screen shown above.
- They can then select Share to choose the social media platform(s) on which to post.
- For Twitter and Instagram, a pre-set message will populate that includes a link to your place of worship’s donation page. Your members can also customize the message before posting.
- For Facebook, a link to your place of worship’s donation page will populate. If they’d like, your members can add a personalized message before posting.
Getting your members involved in spreading your message is a quick, easy, and fun way to maximize your giving revenue.
Don't forget to encourage members to tag @Givelify when they post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Or use our hashtag #MoreGoodTogether.
